Will it upset my stomach?
There's no ferrous sulfate here: in 20 trials it more than doubled the odds of stomach side effects. And 19 mg is well under the 45 mg a day at which the NIH notes stomach side effects. Sensitive stomach? Take it after a meal.
Is 19 mg enough?
One strip covers the 18 mg a day women 19-50 need. In frequent blood donors, 19 mg a day raised body iron as much as twice the dose (different iron form).
What if it's not for me?
Take it for up to 90 days. If it isn't for you, tell us within 90 days of delivery and get every dollar back.
Tired in a way sleep doesn't fix? Every period takes some iron with it.
The alarm goes and the day already feels heavy. By mid-afternoon you're running on coffee and willpower, and the evening is just getting through it.
Iron is what your red blood cells use to carry oxygen to every muscle. Many women don't eat enough of it to make up for what they lose each month.
That's why so many women take iron, and why so many quit: the usual ferrous sulfate pill is known for stomach upset and constipation. A strip you let melt on your tongue makes the daily part easy.

of iron a day is what women 19-50 need. One strip gives you 19 mg.
Ferrous sulfate pills more than doubled the odds of stomach side effects versus placebo, in 20 trials.
How one strip a day works
Small moments that stop feeling heavy.
Iron helps your red blood cells carry oxygen to every muscle.* Here's where you'd want that to show up.

A morning that doesn't start heavy
Get up and get going, instead of dragging yourself into the day. Iron and folate help reduce tiredness and fatigue.*
Iron helps most when your stores are low. Your doctor can check them with a ferritin test.

An afternoon that isn't written off

Everyone is different. Sensitive stomach? Take it after a meal.
What customers say.
Finally one I didn't quit
I've bought iron four times and stopped every time because of my stomach. These just melt on your tongue. Kind of weird at first, but I'm still taking them.
No glass of water needed
I take mine at my desk after breakfast. No water, no big tablet to get down, I just let it melt.
Less of a slog
Honestly didn't expect much from a strip. My afternoons feel a lot less like a slog and I'm skipping the second coffee.
Results vary.
Lives in my purse
I keep a couple of the little pouches in my purse so I don't skip it on busy days.
Raspberry, with a hint of iron
It tastes like raspberry. I can still taste a little metal at the end, but it's gone fast and so much better than a big tablet.
Honest about how it works
The site doesn't pretend it absorbs through your tongue, which I appreciated. Checked with my doctor first and I'm giving it a real try.

Questions, answered.

Will it upset my stomach?
There's no ferrous sulfate here, the iron form that more than doubled the odds of stomach side effects in a review of 20 trials, and 19 mg is well under the 45 mg a day at which the NIH notes stomach side effects. Everyone is different. If your stomach is sensitive, take it after a meal.
Does it absorb through my tongue?
No. The strip melts on your tongue so you don't have to swallow a pill, but like all iron you take by mouth, it's absorbed in your gut. We'd rather tell you that than promise something no study has shown.
Is 19 mg enough?
19 mg is about the daily amount women 19-50 need (18 mg, NIH). In a study of frequent blood donors, 19 mg a day raised total body iron by the same amount as 38 mg (Bialkowski et al., 2017, with a different iron form). If your doctor has found low iron, they'll tell you how much you need, which may be more.
Is this for me? Should I get tested first?
It's made for adult women who want a daily iron and folate routine. Iron isn't for everyone: if you haven't had your iron checked, ask your doctor for a ferritin test alongside your blood count. Don't take it if you have hemochromatosis or have been told to avoid iron. After menopause, women need 8 mg a day (NIH); ask your doctor whether daily iron fits you.
When should I take it?
Any time, as long as it's at the same time each day. Keep it apart from coffee, tea and calcium-rich foods, which can lower iron absorption. If you take thyroid medication (levothyroxine), keep 4 hours between them. Antacids and acid reducers can also lower absorption; ask your doctor.
It has folic acid. What if I have MTHFR?
Each strip has 240 mcg folic acid (400 mcg DFE). The CDC advises the same 400 mcg of folic acid for people with the common MTHFR variant. If you take methotrexate or anti-seizure medication, ask your doctor first.
What does it taste like?
Raspberry, sweetened with monk fruit and stevia. Some people still notice a faint mineral taste.
Can I take it while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Talk to your doctor first. Iron and folate needs change in pregnancy.
How does subscribe & save work?

Who shouldn't take it?
It's for adults 18 and over. Not for people with hemochromatosis or anyone told to avoid iron. Keep it away from children: iron overdose is dangerous for young children.
The science, with the fine print.
Each row shows the dose and the people studied. These studies used iron pills, not our strip.

Dose and conditions: 144 women aged 18-55 with unexplained tiredness and normal hemoglobin; 80 mg iron a day (ferrous sulfate) for 4 weeks.
Worth knowing: That's about 4 times the iron in one strip, in a different form.
Dose and conditions: 198 women aged 18-53 with ferritin below 50 and normal hemoglobin; 80 mg iron a day (ferrous sulfate) for 12 weeks.
Worth knowing: No difference in quality of life, depression or anxiety.
Dose and conditions: Frequent blood donors who kept donating; 19 mg versus 38 mg ferrous gluconate a day for 60 days.
Worth knowing: Blood donors, and ferrous gluconate. The NIH notes ferrous forms are generally better absorbed than ferric forms like ours.
Dose and conditions: 20 placebo-controlled trials (3,168 adults) within a review of 43 trials.
Worth knowing: The odds didn't clearly rise or fall with the dose.
