Honestly: human studies of oregano oil itself are few and small; most oregano research happens in the lab. Dose and conditions: 24 healthy male soldiers, about 24 years old; one 500 mg capsule of dried, powdered oregano (Origanum vulgare) right after a combat readiness test.
Worth knowing: One dose of the dried plant, not oil, from a different oregano species. Blood markers, not how people felt.
